AOUBT ME

Jiaxin Quan is a young printmaking artist and children's book illustrator active in the fields of visual art and cross-media creation. Her unique background blends Chinese intangible cultural heritage arts with contemporary Western illustration. Centered on the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary visual expression, her practice is dedicated to exploring the relationships between individual emotion, social consciousness, and cultural identity within visual storytelling.

She holds a Master's degree in Children's Book Illustration from the Cambridge School of Art and is proficient in various printmaking techniques, collage, tufting, and other mixed media. Through interdisciplinary experimentation and the extension of visual language, she has developed a distinctive visual vocabulary that exists between tradition and modernity. Her work combines cultural depth with an experimental ethos, reflecting a sustained inquiry into the dynamics between "art and society," "self and community," and "tradition and modernity."

Jiaxin Quan is attentive to the role of art in facilitating social communication and cultural dialogue. She views creation as a means of connecting the individual with society, emphasizing the social responsibility and emotional resonance of art within contemporary cultural contexts. Her works have received numerous international accolades and have been selected for prestigious competitions and exhibitions such as the Hiii Illustration International Competition, CIB9 International Illustration and Book Art Biennial, Communication Arts Illustration Competition, and ADC Awards, demonstrating her international influence and continuing potential in the visual arts. Rooted in Eastern cultural heritage yet possessing a global artistic perspective, and supported by her dual educational background in China and the UK, she is committed to advancing dialogue and innovation between visual arts and cross-disciplinary practice.
